Created in 2023, the Proud Portraits Exhibition is one of Proud Watford's most loved and lasting projects — and this Pride Month, it's back along the Abbey Line.
The exhibition brings together 19 portraits of people with strong connections to Watford, each photographed against a muted colour from the Rainbow Flag. We deliberately tell you nothing more about the sitters. No names, no labels, no explanations — just an invitation to see each person first and foremost as a fellow human being.
The exhibition is split across both ends of the line: one half at Watford Junction, the other at St Albans Abbey station. At the end of each display, you'll find a mirror — a quiet invitation to join…
